one post  of Stores Officer in the Board Office  Accounts  
Branch duly  abolishing one post of Stores Officer in the 
Office  of the Chief Engineer/Mettur Thermal Power 
Station/Mettur Dam - Transfer & Postings - Orders - Issued.

       PROCEEDINGS:
              The  Chief  Financial  Controller/Board  Office   Accounts 
 Branch  has  submitted a proposal for creation of one  post  of 
           Stores    Officer   in   the   Office   of   Chief    
Financial    Controller/Board  Office  Accounts Branch duly  abolishing  
one  post  of Stores Officer in Mettur Dam, with a view  to  monitor     
successful   implemetnation  and  co-ordination  of   Inventory 
Management  System programme and to comply with  the  Inventory 
Management System  related works.  (i.e. for arranging disposal 
of  obsolete and scrap in all the Distribution Circles, and  to 
co-ordinate  with the Computer Centre in all  the  Distribution 
Circles  in assigning Uniform code numbers for  all  uncodified 
materials  in  all  the Central and Sub-Stores).  He  has  also 
suggested  that Th.A.S.Sundaram,  Stores  Officer/Verification, 
Headquarters  at  Mettur  Thermal  Power  Station   has  to  be 
transferred to the newly created post of Stores Officer in  the 
Office  of  the Chief Financial  Controller/Chennai,  and  that 
Th. P. Chellappan, Stores  Officer/Verification,   Headquarters  
Office,   Mettur Dam has to be transferred to the  Headquarters 
of Mettur Thermal Power Station to look after the  verification 
of  both the Mettur Electricity Distribution Circle and  Mettur 
Thermal Power Station.                      

                 2.  The  proposals  have  been  approved.    
Accordingly, sanction is hereby accorded for creation of one post of  
Stores  Officer  in the Office of the Chief Financial  Controller/Board 
Office  Accounts Branch  from the date of utilisation and  upto 
28-2-2005.  Consequently,  one post of  Stores  Officer/Verifi-
cation, Office of the Chief Financial Controller, Chennai  with 
Headquarters  at  Mettur Dam, last continued in  the  reference 
cited shall be abolished. 
                  
               3. The following transfer and posting are also ordered:-  
               i) Th.A.S.Sundaram, Stores Officer/Verification, Head- 
                  quarters at Mettur Thermal Power  Station be 
                  transferred and posted to the Office of the Chief 
                  Financial Controller/Board Office Accounts Branch 
                  in the newly  created post,
                                  and 
                ii) Th. P. Chellappan, Stores Officer/Verification
                    Mettur Dam is transferred to the Headquarters at  
                    Mettur Thermal Power Station. He will look after 
                    the verification of both the Mettur Electricity 
                    Distribution Circle and Mettur Thermal Power Station.
                    

                4.   The incumbent of the post sanctioned in para 2  
above will  be  eligible to draw the usual Pay,  Dearness  Allowance,    
House  Rent  Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance  and  other 
allowances  at the rates admissible, under the orders  inforce, 
wherever applicable.  

                 5.   The   expenditure  is  debitable  to   "Tamil   
Nadu Electricity  Board Funds - Revenue Expenses - 75   -  Employees 
Costs - 75-1 - Salaries - 75-110 - Salaries Provincial".

                  6. Receipt of this Proceedings shall be acknowledged.
